Sandra C. (Fiejdasz) Gravanis, age 67, of Assonet, died Thursday, April 12, 2012.
Born in Acushnet, a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Mary Fiejdasz, she had formerly lived in New Bedford before moving to Assonet 35 years ago.
Ms. Gravanis graduated from New Bedford High School and earned a Bachelor’s degree from Bridgewater State College. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and being with her pets. She was a teacher at Hayden-McFadden Elementary School and New Bedford High School for many years before retiring.
She is survived by one son Nikolas Gravanis and his fiancée Amanda of Acushnet.
Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2012 from 5-8 PM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Funeral and Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in her honor to, Potter League for Animals, P.O. Box 412, Newport, RI 02840.
