Rita S. (Cabral) Roberts, age 88, of New Bedford, passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at The Oaks.
Born in Taunton, a daughter of the late David and Edith (Cabral) McGee, she was a lifelong area resident.
Rita worked in the laundry department at St. Luke’s Hospital for many years.
She is survived by a daughter, Starr Roberts of New Bedford; 3 grandchildren: Jack J. Cosmo and his wife Susan of New Bedford, Don Cosmo and his wife Becky of Tiverton and Glenn Cosmo and his wife Samantha of Acushnet; a sister, Betty Cabral of Taunton, 3 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Georgia Cosmo and Wayne Roberts.
Funeral arrangements are private and in the card of the Rock Funeral Home.
