Richard A. Koepke, 81, of Fairhaven, formerly a resident of Mashpee, passed away Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Alden Court. He was the loving husband of Rolande C. Gordon-Koepke with whom he shared 23 years of marriage.
Born in Rochester, New York, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Augustine) Koepke.
He graduated from William Penn University of Iowa with a Bachelors of Arts degree.
Mr. Koepke served in the United States Navy for 7 years during the Vietnam War and served as a Lieutenant on the Seventh Fleet Staff as an Offline Communications Officer.
He had a successful career as an engineer working for Alberox and Saeger medical implants device companies and patented several inventions.
Dick enjoyed playing golf, gardening and working in his yard. He and his wife loved traveling and spending winters in Florida with friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Rebekah Santos and husband Thomas and Sarah Daniel and husband Stephen; two sisters, Ann Smahol and Susan Chan; six grandchildren, Kyle, Grace, Nolan, Mason, Autumn and Bryce; and several nieces and nephews.

Richard's Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 9:00AM in Trinity Lutheran Church, 16 Temple Place, Fairhaven, MA 02719. Relatives and friends are invited. Visitation will be Monday, January 22, 2024 from 4:00 to 6:00PM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in the Massachusetts National Cemetery at 11:30AM.
