Raymond Gendron

Born in New Bedford, a son of Joseph R. Gendron of New Bedford and the late Beverly (Trudell) Gendron, he was a lifelong area resident.

Ray graduated from New Bedford High School and went on to study at BCC and UMASS. He worked as a computer analyst at Shaw’s Headquarters.

He is survived by two daughters, Nicole Gendron of New Bedford and Laura Gendron of Somerset; five sons, Matthew Gendron and his wife Lenea of Dartmouth, Jon Gendron of New Bedford, Jason Gendron of New Bedford, Robert Gendron of Somerville, and Christopher Gendron of New Bedford; two sisters, Jeanine and Michelle; five grandchildren, Aidan, Nadia, Ethan, Jordan, and Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends Wednesday, April 4, 2018 10 am until 12 noon. A celebration of Raymond’s life will take place at 12 noon in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
