Blouin Family, I'm so sorry to hear of Randy's passing. My condolences to you all

I have fond memories of Randy as I knew him as a student and Freshman football player at Voc-Tech.  His diminutive size did not deter him on the football field.  I admired his determination, competitiveness and natural ability as he earned a starting, defensive end position on our football team.  He wasn't just a member of the team but a fine contributor to our team's  success and season.

Avoiding the Serta buses while playing nerf football in the middle of Pleasant street,  Snowball fights and sledding down Pope/Common park and all the times roaming the streets of the Weld Sq. Neighborhood on our bmx bikes. Randy was my best childhood friend. My favorite memories were of us  watching wrestling and playing  bumper pool in the Blouin family basement.  Drinking beers under the Hwy overpass  and going to dances  at Hot Wheels and Voc Tech.  We played for the best freshman football team in Voc-Tech History. We went  undefeated.  He was the smallest but fiercest  Defensive End and competitor. Randy and all the Blouin’s) always had my back. Because my last name was Ortiz they nicknamed me Scratchy (for scratch me Or tease me. Even though most of adult life we lived on opposite sides of the country,  every June we’d always texted each other Happy Birthday (mine was 20 days after his).   I  randomly ran into Randy one night downtown when I was visiting NB. We hung out and he told me how proud he was of his son and the relationship they had. I then told him something that I hadn’t told anybody yet and that I I was going to be a father too. .  We shared lots of  fun special moments. RIP Randy! I’ll never forget your birthday  Blue!

Our condolences to my sister Cindy, her husband Mark and all of the Blouin family. Our deepest condolences to you Nate, always remember that your Dad loved you so much, was so proud of you and will always be there with you. You two were best friends. Always treasure those memories. 

Randy was the biggest jokester I knew. I'm gonna miss all the laughs and inside jokes from being my baby daddy, paying me in Chinese food, lickety split, Ralph, and so much more. The holidays and family gatherings will not be the same. Hope you're laughing it up in heaven Randy. We miss you already.

Sorry to hear about his passing. I spent time with the Blouin siblings while growing up on Austin Court in the 80s.

I have only known Randy for a short time, working at Pilgrim Innovative Plastics, he was one of a kind.  He was always kind to me.
We mostly talked about family and sports. This world is not going to be the same without him. I’m going to miss this guy!!  I already do!! Rest in peace Randy. You will never be forgotten!!
