Born in New Bedford, a daughter of late Rene and Maria (Boulay) Dupont, she was a lifelong area resident. She attended St. Anthony’s Catholic School and was employed as a winder for Aerovox for 40 years. Pauline loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, she enjoyed the long rides with her beloved Henry “Hank” on their Honda Goldwing. She was an avid Red Sox fan, enjoyed playing Bingo and loved Christmas.
She is survived by two daughters, Elaine Arruda and her husband David of Acushnet and Paula Chainay and her husband Kenneth of Lakeville; one son, Henry Alves Jr. and his wife Darlene of Freetown; a brother Alfred Dupont of Washington and Flo Arruda of Wareham; six grandchildren, Brian, Daniel and Allyssa Chainay, Kyle and Sasha Alves and Zachary Arruda; one great-grandchild, Vivian Chainay; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Sharon Alves Byrd and sister of the late Lillian St. Jean, Claire Horvitz and Gerald Dupont.
