Paula A. Joseph

Paula A. (Ouimette) Joseph, 75, of Acushnet, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in St. Luke’s Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Leroy F. Joseph Jr. with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Acushnet, she was the daughter of the late Norbert and Angeline Ouimette.

Paula was a graduate of Apponequet High School. She was the first Pharmacy Dosage Technician at St. Luke’s Hospital and worked the rest of her years in Admissions for 25 years until her retirement in 1990. She enjoyed oil painting, bowling, traveling and taking trips to New Hampshire. She was a gifted artist and loved cooking. Spending time and taking care of her family was very important, especially her grandchildren who she adored. She touched many hearts, and will be deeply missed.

In addition to her loving husband, Leroy, she is survived by her sons, Ryan M. Joseph and his long-time companion Paula Cordeiro of Rochester, and Mark D. Joseph and his wife Cindy of Barrington, RI; three grandchildren, Kristy Boyajian, Shannon Joseph, and Xavier Joseph; her niece, Shauna Robinson and great-niece Angie Robinson. She was also the sister of the late Elaine Andrade.

Her visitation will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023 from 2:00 – 6:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME. Her funeral service will be held on Monday, November 20, 2023 at 10:00AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Acushnet Cemetery.
