Patricia A. (Corrigan) Root, 88, of New Bedford passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 8, 2024 in her residence. She was the wife of the late Roger A. Root.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Christopher and Helen (McQuade) Corrigan she was a lifelong area resident.
Mrs. Root worked as a secretary for The Gilt Edge Silk Mills and Atlantic Mills. She enjoyed being with her family and gardening.
She is survived by her children, Christopher Root of New Bedford and Colleen Poyant and her husband David of Acushnet; two grandchildren, Ryan Poyant and Keith Poyant; She was the sister of the late Helen Phaneuf and Dolores Gajewski.
