Omer Allain

Omer Allain, age 94, of New Bedford passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Our Lady's Haven Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitative Care in Fairhaven. He was the loving husband of the late Dorothy (Coderre) Allain.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Thadde and Rosalie (LeBlanc) Allain.

In the late 1960’s, he worked as a pressman for the Acushnet Rubber Company and then as a carpenter for Reliable Truss Company. Omer was an avid sports enthusiast. He was always cheering for his favorite home teams, the Boston Red Sox and the Patriots.

Throughout his life, Omer appreciated a fine walk, enjoyed a good scratch ticket, playing solitaire and playing card games with his brothers.

He is survived by his brother, Arthur Allain of New Bedford; nieces, Diane Gamache and her husband Paul of Freetown, Doreen Wotton and her husband Russell of Dartmouth; Nephews, Bernard Allain and his wife Maureen of North Dartmouth, Robert Silveira and his wife Barbara of Plymouth, William Silveira and his wife Debra of Lakeville, Ronald Allain of Troy, NH, Bruce Allain of Warwick, RI and the late Rene Allain Jr. of New Bedford. He was the brother of the late David, Francois, Cecile, Zoel, Paul and Rene Sr.
