Normand A. Maillet

Born in Gardner, a son of the late Calixte and Marie (Melanson) Maillet he lived most of his life in Acushnet.

Mr. Maillet served in the Army and later worked as a commercial fisherman for various vessels. He enjoyed gambling at the casinos and dancing.

In addition to his companion, he is survived by a daughter, Norma Jean Cottuli of Acushnet; a son, Robert Maillet of Idaho; a sister, Jeanne Pepin and her husband Maurice of Acushnet; a brother, Nelson Maillet and his wife Joanne of New Bedford; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was the brother of the late Walter and Ernest Maillet.
