Luke’s Hospital after a long illness. She was surrounded by her loved ones, who will
miss her terribly. She was the wife of the late George O. Marote.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Napoleon “Paul” and Lydia M. (Tripanier)
Goulet she was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of St. Mary’s Church,
Fairhaven.
Mrs. Marote graduated from Fairhaven High School in 1964 and worked as a tester for
Titleist for 38 years. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to lunch with her many dear
friends and taking trips to Newport Grand.
She is survived by a niece, Shoshanah (Marote) Pisz and her husband Kyle of New
Bedford; two nephews, Wayne Marote Jr. and his wife Emily of Cranston, RI, and Jay
Marote of Norfolk, VA; four great-nieces, Amelia Davis, Evelyn Marote, Jasmine Marote,
and Sophie Marote; and a brother-in-law, Wayne Marote Sr. and his wife Claire.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be on June 5th 2021 at 9:30 am in St. Mary’s Church, Main
St., Fairhaven followed by burial in Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in
