Maureen Almeida

Maureen (Costa) Almeida, age 66 of Carver, passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2020 in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital, Plymouth after a long and courageous battle with heart disease. She was the fiancé of Carl Enos of Carver.

Born in Fall River, a daughter of the late Alfred “Freddy” and Kathleen (Flynn) Costa, she was a longtime resident of Fall River prior to moving to Carver. She was a graduate of the former Old Mount St. Mary’s High School in Fall River and Bristol Community College, School of Nursing.

Maureen loved her children, especially her grandchildren, she loved to travel to the races with Carl, family time, cooking with Carl; She was an avid Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboy fan.

In addition to her fiancé Carl, she is survived by her children, Bethany Almedia of Taunton, William DeCosta of Fall River and Luke Almedia of Providence; a sister, Karen Boulay of Florida; ten grandchildren and a niece and nephew.

Maureen’s Memorial Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 30, 2020 at 10:30AM in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 130 Main Street, Carver, MA 02330. Relatives and friends are invited.
