Marion L. Ostman Tuttle, 91 of Acushnet, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at Saint Luke’s Hospital after battling a brief illness. She was the loving wife of Leo C. Tuttle to whom she has been married for 65 years.
Born in Nantucket, a daughter of the late Helmer and Leona (Creasey) Ostman, she attended New Bedford schools. She was a lifelong resident of Acushnet. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader in Acushnet. She loved her family dearly, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed watching them play baseball, hockey, fishing, and boating on Long Pond. She loved going for a ride along the waterfront, knitting, and receiving family photos on her kindle.
In addition to her husband Leo, Marion had three daughters Roberta L. Tuttle of Lakeville, Gayle A. Stalter and her husband Keith of Acushnet, and the late Kim T. Phaneuf of New Bedford ; four grandson’s Scott Stalter, the late Kevin Phaneuf, Brad Stalter, and Ryan Phaneuf; four great grandchildren, Alex Stalter, Aubrey Stalter, Brianna Phaneuf, and Henry Stalter along with many nieces and nephews.
Preceded by Siblings Cora Vestvik, Nelson Ostman, Edwin Ostman, Hildur Nicholson, and Fredrick Ostman.
