Marie A. Branchaud

Born in Nantucket, the daughter of the late Maxime and Anna (Fougere) LeBlanc, she lived most of her life in New Bedford.

Mrs. Branchaud had worked as a secretary at St. Anthony School for 31 years. She was a talented piano teacher from the age of 16 and also worked at Lemieux Plumbing and Heating.

She was Past President and member of the former St. Joseph Couples Club and volunteered for Bingo at St. Joseph and St. Anthony Churches. She was the recipient of the Marian Medal. Most of all, Marie loved being with her family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Louise Branchaud of Fairhaven, Armand Branchaud of New Bedford and Michelle McDonald of Fairhaven; and her grandchildren, Matthew and Jillian McDonald.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, August 8, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Funeral, Monday, August 9, 2021 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
