Mrs. Maria S. Medeiros

Born in Povaocao, St. Michael, Azores, a daughter of the late Jose Morgado and Maria I (Furtado) Morgado, she has lived in New Bedford for the past 43 years. A homemaker, Mrs. Medeiros was a devoted and loving mother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed attending weekly Masses at Immaculate Conception Church in New Bedford

Surviving: 4 daughters: Maria I. Fernandes and husband Jose of Dartmouth, Linda Macedo and husband George, Deborah Medeiros, Sonia Medeiros all of New Bedford, 3 sons: Jaime Medeiros and wife Ruby of Fairhaven, Jose Medeiros and wife Michelle and Robert Medeiros all of New Bedford, 1 sister: Maria I. Melo of Povaocao, St Michael, Azores, 2 brothers: Jose Amaral and Manuel Morgado both of Osterville, Cape Cod, 5 grandchildren: George E. and Vanessa Macedo, James Medeiros, Derek and Nicole Fernandes and several nieces and nephews.
