My beautiful Mom ( mommy to me ) My life will never be the same, it is forever changed: thank you for all that you did for me, Liz and Roger, you were  a great mom, you did what you could for us, with the little taht you had. Thank you for always being there for me, always encouraging me and standing by with, even when I made bad decesion and always telling me that I had my life to lead, not to worry about you.I'm going to miss our daily phone calls, when we weren't living together : I'm especially going to miss taking you to get your nails done, when we lived together , how it was a fiasco, you use to drive mr batty :-)-- but in the end we would laugh:-) and you looked so good with your pink nail polish( had to be pink)-- I loved how you had to give everybody your Portuguese candies ;-) -- it wqas you always giving : i guess i take after you.
I love you so much mommy, be at peace with dad and don't worry about us, we are all good and I will keep my promise that we will always be freinds and not fight: liz and Roger and I , that was your request always for us to be freinds and not fight because we are siblings and that is all we have : espeacially now US :-) in your memory : i promise .

I loved the time that I got to spend with Maria at Liz's and Larry's.  We were like two naughty girlfriends!  She spoke Portugese to me the whole time; I couldn't understand her but we had the best time, we laughed so much.  One day I snuck her some ice cream and she told Lizzie on me that night!  We shared good time with our grandson, Reed, during her stay.  She was a loving, giving person - we should all learn from that.  My love to Roger, Elvira and Lizzie.  Your Mom was an awesome gal.

Querida Mama Goulart you will be missed. I'm so thankful my family and I got to meet her and spend time with her when she lived in CA with Elvira and Dana. I remember how she would always greet us & welcome us with so much love and her beautiful smile that would brighten up the room. My daughter little querida loved the protugese candies she would give her and I enjoyed watching protugese novelas with her.  I remember when you would talk to me in protugese and I would try to understand and when Elvira would come in and say "mom she doesn't speak protugese" :) and would translate. I always enjoyed your company & your warm heart.  The gift you gave me that I will treasure forever is the picture you gave me with your daughters & grandson. I love you and you will forever be in our hearts. 

Elvira you are an amazing daughter!! Love you so much chica!! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences for your loss. Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow, Liz, Elvia, Roger & family, you are in my prayers.

We love you Elvira. Always remember that you were a fantastic daughter to your mom and she loved you very, very much. As the oldest child you had taken on a lot of responsibility to make sure your mom had the best quality of life possible. Know that as far as daughters are concerned you far exceeded any moms expectations of what they would wish for in a daughter. Feel love and at peace, and know that she will always be with you. I was honored to get to know Maria “Mommy” when she came out to visit then stay with Dana and Elvira. My life is forever changed. I didn't speak a word of Portuguese  but somehow I was able to understand her. I Love her and will miss her deeply. My deepest sympathy to the family.
