Born in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico, a daughter of the late Octarvio and Obdulia (Nieves) Perez, she had resided in New Bedford for most of her life.
Milly worked as a presser in various local textile mills for 40 years.
She enjoyed trips to Foxwoods Casino and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Milly also loved the company of her parrot, Poncho.
Survivors include her sons, Mack Caban and his fiancée Linda of New Bedford and Jorge Caban and his wife Wanda of Newark, Delaware; a brother, Angel Perez of Puerto Rico; four sisters, Louisa Rodriguez, Midge Perez and Awilda Perez all of Puerto Rico and Anna Lopez of Florida; five grandchildren, Jodie Woodbury, Christy Miller, Tiffany Caban, Timothy Caban and Carla Massey; four great-grandchildren, Collin, Caileigh, Javier and Avalise; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Pedro Perez, Mariana Azevedo and Rosa Perez.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 4, 2012 at 10am in St. Anthony of Padua Church, 1359 Acushnet Avenue, New Bedford. Visitation will be held prior to the mass from 8:30- 9:30am in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
