Margaret Mary Johnson

Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Stanley and Alice (Boissonneault) Crook, she was a lifelong resident of the city. She graduated from New Bedford High School and was a Baker prior to retiring.

Margaret Mary loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She loved to bake and create beautiful cakes and pastries over the years for family and her many clients. She loved to dance, go swimming and trips to the casino.

She is survived by her daughters, Sharon Alves and her companion Paul Poitras of New Bedford and Susan Ferguson and her husband Dale of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Scott Ferguson and Jonathan and Evan Macedo; and her great-grandson Scott Michael Ferguson Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Brenda Macedo and sister of the late Claire Krouzek.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 1, 2023 from 8:30 to 10:00AM in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Gabriel the Arch Angel, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd, New Bedford, MA 02745.
