Louis Arthur Bousquet

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late Ovide L. Bousquet and Lauria (Gaudreau) Bousquet, he had lived in New Bedford the majority of his life before moving to Brockton seven years ago.

Louis served in the United States Coast Guard for four years. He was a Licensed Practical Nurse at the Veteran’s Hospital in Brockton for the past 18 years. and had previously worked at New Bedford Institution for Savings for 35 years.

In addition to his wife survivors include: a son, Marc L. Bousquet and his wife Cheryl of Florida; three grandchildren, Kyle, Athena and Brandon Bousquet; a sister, Jeanne Bowden of New Bedford; a brother, Andre Bousquet also of Fall River; his former wife, Janet (Paull) Bousquet of Florida; three step-children, Patricia Schrager, John and William McEntee; three step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 9 AM from the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, followed by his funeral mass at St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St., Acushnet at 10:00am. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visiting hours, Tuesday 5-8 PM.
