Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Albert and Alice (Jacques) Pineau, she had resided in Acushnet for over 90 years.
Mrs. Magnant had worked as a golf ball inspector at the Acushnet Company Golf Ball Division until her retirement.
Lillian and her husband were avid campers and loved to dance. She was an excellent chocolate maker.
She is survived by her son, Michel D. Magnant and his wife Louise of Carver; her brother, Donald Pineau and his wife Jayne of Florida; her grandchildren, Cory Magnant and his wife Christine of Sandwich, Carrie Burdziuk of Pembroke, Vincent Burdziuk of Kingston and Michael Burdziuk of Carver; 9 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Susan R. Felipe of Acushnet and sister of the late Albert Pineau of Brockton and Arthur Pineau of California.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 29, 2019 from 2-4 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Her funeral will be held on Monday, December 30, 2019 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Francis Xavier Church, 125 Main St., Acushnet. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lillian’s memory may be made to the Life Care Center of Plymouth, 94 Obery St., Plymouth, MA 02360.
