Born in Shamokin Coal Township, PA a son of the late Joseph and Lizzie (Maurer) Weaver he grew up there and moved to the area shortly before starting his family.
Mr. Weaver joined the United States Navy and served during World War II. He later worked at Berkshire Hathaway as a weaver. In his spare time, Hap enjoyed bowling at Wonderbowl where he was the eldest person to bowl a perfect game in competition. Mr. Weaver was also a longtime member of the VFW and he always believed in giving back to help others in need.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Elizabeth Rundle of Poole, England, Walter Weaver of Blairstown, NJ, Leonard Weaver of Crosby, TX, and Robert Weaver of Cannon, NH; grandchildren; great grandchildren; great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late Joann Olivier and he was predeceased by his 15 siblings.
Relatives and friends are invited to visitation Tuesday, November 12, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service 11 a.m. in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by burial in Tabor Cemetery.
