Joseph Mario Pacheco

Born in Porto Formoso, Sao Miguel, Portugal, he was the son of the late Marcelino and Emelia (Soares-Elias) Pacheco.

Mr. Pacheco worked in construction as a truck driver. He was a member of the Madeira Club and Central Luzo. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

Survivors in addition to his wife are two sons: Joshua Pacheco and his wife Amie of Somerset, Justin Pacheco and his fiance Abbey of Dartmouth, a daughter: Nichole Spicer of Dartmouth, four grandchildren: Nora, Piper and Ava Pacheco and Savannah Duarte, three siblings: Odette Tavares and her husband Anibal of Acushnet, Stella Pereira and her husband Luis of New Bedford, Joao Pacheco of New Bedford, a niece and many nephews. He was the brother of the late Maggie Pacheco.

His visitation will be Friday, August 18, 2017 from 4-8pm at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. His funeral will be on Saturday at 8am from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 9 am in Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish, 121 Mt Pleasant Street, New Bedford.
