Joseph F. Brennan

Born in Fall River, a son of the late Edward and Bertha (Desjardin) Brennan, he was a life-long area resident.

Mr. Brennan was the owner and operator of Joe’s Tire in New Bedford for over 35 years before retiring due to illness.

Besides his wife he is survived by his children, Kurt Brennan and his wife Nandia of Boston, Stephanie Ferreira and her husband Jared of New Bedford and Jessica Brennan of New Bedford; seven grandchildren; a brother, Andrew Brennan and his wife Kathy of Florida; a sister, Patricia Taylor of California and several nieces and nephews. He was also the brother of the late Michael Brennan. He will also be greatly missed by his family at Joe’s Tire. The family would like to thank Hawthorn Oncology for everything that you have done for us.

Visiting hours, Sunday, August 18, 2013 from2-5 PM in the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His funeral will be held Monday, August 19, 2013 at 9 AM from the funeral home, followed by his funeral mass at 10 AM in St. Joseph-St. Therese Church, Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
