John Arruda, age 70, passed away Saturday, April 14, 2012 peacefully at home in Baltimore Maryland. He was the son of the late Antone and Georgianna (Martin) Arruda.
Born in Acushnet, Mr Arruda lived in the Baltimore area for the past 30 years. He worked for the John Hopkins University Hospital Shock Trauma Unit as a sterilization technician. He served in the United States Army and was an active member of the American Legion and the VFW.
Survivors include one brother; James Arruda. Cynthia Arruda, wife of his late brother Richard Arruda of Acushnet, and several nieces and nephews.
Private funeral arrangements are in the care of the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA.
