John Araujo Jr.

Born in New Bedford, a son of the late John and Inez (Cortez) Araujo he lived all over the world but came back to the area years ago to be closer to family.

John worked as a field engineer for Raytheon. He was a car enthusiast and he like to go fishing. His true happiness came from spending time with his son, Michael.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Michael Araujo of New Bedford; a daughter, Michelle Araujo of Florida; siblings, Angelo and Joseph Araujo of New Bedford, Roy Araujo of SC, and Priscilla Piva of New Bedford; two grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

His funeral will be Monday, September 19, 2016 from 10-11 am in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Boulevard, New Bedford. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery. www.rock-funeralhome.com for directions and online tribute.
