Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Henry and Marianne (Fortin) Benoit she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of St. Anthony of Padua Church.
Mrs. DiPaola attended St. Anthony’s School and later worked briefly as a stitcher at Cliftex. Most of her life she worked to care for her seven children.
When she was younger, Jeannette loved to play violin. Jeannette enjoyed spending time and singing with her grandchildren. She enjoyed staying in touch with her extended family. She also enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by four sons, Michael DiPaola and wife Ann Marie, Dan DiPaola and wife Maria, Rick DiPaola and wife Denise and David DiPaola; three daughters, Theresa Mingola and husband Daniel, Lucia Schestak and husband Charles Jr. and Lisa Silva and husband Mario; eleven grandchildren, Jade, Tyler, Michael Anthony, Christina, Jennifer, Ashley, Shayna, Tabatha, Jared, Tanya and Corey; two step grandchildren, CJ, III and Erin; and many great grandchildren. She was the sister-in-law of the late Angelo DiPaolo and step grandmother of the late Alex Mingola.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 9, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St. Anthony of Padua, 1359 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday prior to Mass 8-9:30 a.m. in ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
