Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Albert and Lauraine (Bretton) Brindle, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Janice worked in sales at various retail stores in the area.
Survivors include her children, Wayne Szela and his companion Tammy DeMoranville of New Bedford; Glenn Szela and his companion Eileen Shruhan of New Bedford; Tammy Wright of Mattapoisett; Russell Silveira and his companion Patricia Normand of Acushnet; a sister, Sandra Cabral and her husband Ronnie of New Bedford; her God son and nephew Steven Lucas of Mattapoisett ; seven grandchildren, Brett, Amanda, Jessica, Zachary, Justin, Wayne Jr., Rebecca, and two great grandchildren, Kielin and Keaton.
Her funeral service will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 5pm at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford, MA. Visitation will be from 2-5pm prior to the service. Burial private.
