Born in New York, a son of the late James and Julia (McMullin) Cronin he grew up there and lived most of his life in the New Bedford area.
Mr. Cronin served in the National Guard for many years. He was employed at Woolworth's for over thirty years and later worked in maintenance at the Dartmouth Mall where he was adored by many.
He is survived by three beloved daughters, Debra Turgeon and her husband Henry Turgeon of Acushnet, Laura Carter and her husband Dennis Carter of Sterling and Kelly Cronin of Taunton; eight beautiful grandchildren, Danielle, Erik and Andrew Carter, Alyssa, Nathaniel, Makayla and Nicolas Turgeon and Tessa Botelho; and siblings, Carleton Cronin of VA, William Cronin of NY and Marilyn Palmatier of NY.
