She was pre-deceased by her husband, Victor J.R., Sr. and her brother, Earl. She is survived by her sister, Ellen, her son, Victor J.R., Jr. and his wife, Patricia, sister-in-law Gladys Duphily, nieces and nephews, and multiple grand and great-grand-children.
She worked in production and as a bookkeeper at the Acushnet Co. and was well-regarded as a knowledgeable healer by the family at large. A voracious reader with a thirst for knowledge, her attention to detail was a point of pride in maintaining her financial records and in her encyclopedic memory of family history. Precise in her written communication, she even embraced the computer for electronic communications in the last several years. A prolific knitter and crotchetier, she produced hand-made gifts in many forms for many of her relations. A critical thinker, she was always interested in what career decisions her family made and how current events were impacting the family and their future prospects. A devoted Catholic, she held a close relationship with her God throughout her life.
Calling hours will be 7:30-8:30 AM on Tuesday, June 17th, at the Rock Funeral Home, followed by a 9 AM Mass at St Mary’s Church with the burial following at St Mary’s Cemetery.
