George L. Jussaume

Born in New Bedford, son of the late Joseph and Adrienne (Dupré) Jussaume, resided in Acushnet for the past 50 years. He was a graduate of St. Anthony High School in New Bedford.

Mr. Jussaume served in the United States Navy.

He worked for Titleist in the Golf Ball Division for many years until his retirement.

George and his wife loved their many pets. He was a talented handyman who proudly built his home and enjoyed his property. George was a man of faith and was actively involved in his church. Known for his generous and kindhearted nature, George was always willing and available to assist someone who needed a helping hand.

His family includes three sons, Mark A. Jussaume and his wife Diane of N. Easton, Ronald A. Jussaume of Acushnet and Robert P. Jussaume and his wife Barbara of Temple City, CA; a sister, Jacqueline Stowell of North Port, FL; four grandchildren, Timothy, Andrew, Ryan and Riley; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Rev. Andre Jussaume, Alice Camp, Irene Tomaso, Gus Jussaume and Blanche Jussaume.

Visiting hours will be held on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 from 4-7 p.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. His Funeral will be held on Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at 9 a.m. from the funeral home followed by a Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 4256 Acushnet Ave., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
