Born in New Bedford, the daughter of Louis and Eunice (Ott) Woodis, she resided in New Bedford all of her life.
Gail was a graduate of New Bedford High School Class of 1980 and was a certified EMT. She worked for Child and Family Services for 26 years as a parent aide supervisor and advocate for the elderly at Tripp Towers. She also worked with Developmentally Delayed Adults at New Bedford Harbor Services.
Mrs. Perry was a longtime, very active member of the South Baptist Church where she served as a youth leader and sat on many church boards. She was also a respected team member at Child and Family Services.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her children, Seth, Erica and James all of New Bedford; two sisters, Dianne Woodis of New Bedford and Kathleen Barclay and her husband Rev. George Barclay of Warwick, RI; her beloved mother-in-law, Karen Perry of New Bedford and many nieces and nephews.
Her Funeral will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at 11am at the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd, New Bedford. Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 11, 2013 from 4-8pm. Burial is private.
