Frank S. Ruscik, 94, of Acushnet, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at home surrounded by his family. He was the beloved husband of Pauline R. (Thomasset) Ruscik, with whom he shared 69 years of marriage.
Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Stanley and Helena (Kiersnowska) Rusczyk.
Frank proudly served in the United States Army and worked for Alden Corrugated for 41 years. He married the love of his life and raised his family with honor and pride. He enjoyed collecting trains, traveling, dancing out with his wife, and working in his workshop. Anything that needed fixing, he was the handy-man for the job. Spending time with his family was very important, especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Frank touched many hearts, and his words to his wife will remain, “Home Sweet Home”.
In addition to his wife, Pauline, he is survived by his loving children, Sharon Pepin and her husband Roland of Acushnet, Sandra Rogers of New Bedford, Debra Duarte and her husband Tad of S. Yarmouth, and Steven Ruscik and his wife Paula of Fairhaven; a brother, Chester Ruscik of CT; a sister, Helen Ewaszko of New Bedford; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Stanley, Leo, and Walter Ruscik, Stasia Dobyna, Stephanie Wajda, Lee Adamowski, and Sophie Sladewski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 10:00AM in Saint Francis Xavier Parish, Main Street, Acushnet, MA. Relatives and friends are invited to the Century House following Mass. Burial at the Mass National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30PM.
