Esther V. Turbak

Born in New Bedford and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Norman Nash Chaney and Frances (Harris) Chaney.

She was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School, class of 1951. She was involved in childcare during her early years and assisted at the Ox-Bow Gift Shop with her husband. Esther was known for her soft humming as she went through her day. She enjoyed arts and crafts and caring for her family.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Albert Nash Chaney, Jr. and wife Cheri, Albert Nash Chaney, III, Jennifer and William of Greenfield, MA, Norman Anthony Prachniak of Baltimore Maryland, and Karen McGuire of West Friendship, Maryland. She was stepmother of the late Theodore A. Turbak and sister of the late Sgt. Albert Nash Chaney.
