Estelle C. Cusson

Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Hormidas and Eugenie (St. Jean) Cusson, she has been a lifelong resident of Acushnet. Mrs. Cusson was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Fairhaven. She was a member of the Ladies of St. Anne and the VFW Ladies Auxiliary in Acushnet. She also enjoyed cooking, playing cards, dancing, traveling and especially spending time with her family.

Mrs. Cusson’s family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Oaks and Atria Fairhaven for the care they showed Estelle over the past few years.

Mrs. Cusson is survived by her five children: Joanne Aker and her husband Donald of Portsmouth, RI; David Cusson and his wife Cathy of Fairhaven, Gerard Cusson and his wife Debby of Melbourne, FL, Stephen Cusson and his wife Dee of Cape Coral, FL and Leo E. Cusson of Acushnet; eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by eleven brothers and sisters.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at 9 AM from the ROCK FUNERL HOME 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by her Funeral Mass at 10AM in St. Francis Xavier Church 125 Main St., Acushnet. Visiting hours will be Friday 5 to 8PM. Flowers are welcome. Burial will take place in Sacred Heart Cemetery, New Bedford. To send a tribute or for directions please visit:
