She was the wife of Richard M. Costa Sr. and the daughter of the late Seraphine and Emily (Moller) Viator.
Survivors in addition to her husband are her 5 children, Judith E. Luce, Rosemary L. dos Santos, Cindy A. Chartier, Rita M. Mendell and Richard M. Costa, Jr., 12 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, a sister, Marjorie Denault and 2 brothers, Robert and Seraphine Viator and many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Richard Viator.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11am at St. Joseph Church, Spring Street, Fairhaven, MA with visitation prior to mass from 9am – 10:00am at the ROCK Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA.
