Elizabeth Souza

Elizabeth K. (Kilik) Souza, 79, of New Bedford, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, January 31, 2024. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph L. Souza, with whom she shared 35 years of marriage.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Casimir Paul and Beryl Parton (Treadup) Kilik.

Elizabeth was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked as a Teacher’s Aide for the New Bedford School Department for many years. She loved being outdoors, especially puttering around her yard and in her garden, as well as shopping, kayaking and hiking, doing puzzles with her best friends Steve & Sheryl, watching Hallmark movies, and taking trips to the Cape with her childhood twin friends. And of course she loved her fruitcake! But mostly, Beth absolutely loved spending time with her family who were extremely important to her. She loved that she became a Granny to six wonderful grandchildren and a Greatgranny to five beautiful babies. She touched many hearts, made everyone laugh and feel loved, and she will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her loving family, Pamela Dziura and her husband Bill of Lakeville, and Joe Souza and his wife Valerie of Acushnet; six grandchildren, Jeffrey Dziura and his wife Katie of Cumberland, RI, Sandhya Dziura of Sharon, Zachary Souza and his wife Lindsey of Dartmouth, Jacob Souza of Acushnet, Emma Souza of Lakeville, and Amanda Dziura of Boston; 5 great-grandchildren, and her sweet companion, her kitty, Muise.

Her Visitation will be held on Monday, February 19, 2024 from 4:00 – 7:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745 for all to attend. Burial Private.
