Elizabeth had a terrific sense of humor and playful nature. She cherished spending time with her family, including her siblings and many nieces and nephews. Spending time with her loved ones, especially during the holidays, brought her great joy.
She graduated from New Bedford High School and attended Kinyon Campbell Business School and Bristol Community College.
Elizabeth was the beloved sister of Laura Rosa, Janice Selley, Patricia Szyndlar, Michelle Cordeiro, and Christine Conway, as well as her brother David Cormier. She was preceded in death by her father Leo Cormier, Sr., and mother Hilda Cormier, sister, Judith Almeida, and brother Leo Cormier, Jr.
Elizabeth Cormier will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her warm presence, sense of humor, and love for her family will forever be cherished. May she rest in peace.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at 9:00AM from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, followed by her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St. Acushnet, MA. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 5:00 – 8:00PM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd. New Bedford, MA 02745. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Her family would like to send a very special “Thank You” to the Hospice team from the Community Nurse Home Care and to the nursing staff on the Elmwood Unit at The Oaks for all the loving care and support they gave to their sister. They were a true blessing.
