

Dorothy C. (Orlowski) Lima, 79, of Acushnet passed away Saturday, July 11, 2015 in New Bedford Healthcare Center with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of Manuel Lima with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Acushnet, the daughter of the late Stefan and Sophie (Motyl) Orlowski, she was a lifelong resident and a communicant of St. Francis Xavier Parish.
Mrs. Lima worked as an assembler at Titleist Footjoy Company for 20 years before her retirement in 1998. Dorothy and her husband enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. They enjoyed trips to Arizona, Mt. Rushmore, Niagara Falls and Las Vegas to name a few. She was a beautiful woman with a warm personality and she was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She would always help when asked and she truly loved people. Dorothy was also an outstanding cake decorator and excellent cook of various ethnic dishes.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by four sons, David W. Lima and his wife Pamela of Berlin, MA, Steven M. Lima and his wife Pauline of Nashua, NH, Robert B. Lima and his wife Cheryl of Dublin, CA and Michael R. Lima of Phoenix, AZ; 11 grandchildren, Dominique, Kiersten, Michael, Justin, Nicholas and his wife Carolyn, Ryan, Benjamin, Sarah, Rachel, Kaylee, and Logan; two step grandchildren, Nick and Kathleen Lindsay; and several cousins.
She was the sister of the late Walter J. Orlowski.
Her funeral will be Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at 9 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford followed by a funeral mass at 10 am in St. Francis Xavier Parish, 125 Main St., Acushnet.
