Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Albert J. and Alphonsine (Tetrault) Bouley, she lived in New Bedford and Fairhaven for many years before moving to Dartmouth.
Lovingly known as Grandma Dot, she enjoyed the comforts of her home and spending time with her family. She was a participant in the Foster Grandparent Program. She and her husband spent many years camping at Cranberryville Camp Ground in Carver.
The family would like to thank the staff at Brandon Woods for their wonderful care and compassion.
She is survived by her children, Carolyn Sansoucy and her life partner Billy Major, Sr. of E. Freetown, Roland Deschenes, Jr. and his life partner Jan Chelluk Bauver of Florence, MA and David Deschenes and his wife Judy of Providence; her grandchildren, Gregory Deschenes, Brian Deschenes and his wife Susan and Benjamin Deschenes; and several nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late Diane Gallagher and sister of the late Irene LeBlanc and Albert Bouley.
Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 8:30-10 a.m. with a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Burial will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Please wear summertime pastel colors in honor of Dot.
