Donna Marie (Cordeiro) Metivier-Malaguti, 71 of New Bedford, passed away in her residence on Friday, July 7, 2023 with her family at her side. She was the wife of Vincent R. Malaguti to whom she has spent the last 47 years with.
Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Manuel and Almorinda (Medeiros Fragoza) Cordeiro. Donna was a lifelong resident of the city and was a graduate of New Bedford High School. She was employed as a Home Health Aide for St. Luke’s Hospital for over 20 years and a longtime associate of Building 19 retiring in early 2000.
Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was everything to her. She loved being home with Vincent and family, especially her dog Zoey. She loved her garden and flowers. She also enjoyed quilting, sewing, baking, and shopping. As well as good nap on her favorite couch.
In addition to her husband Vincent, she is survived by her children, Richard Metivier and his wife Tricia of Lakeville and Jennifer Metivier of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Francesca Mainini-Metivier and Kelsey LeTourneau and her husband Geoff; her sisters, Linda Stanton of Virginia, Cathy Heifner of Michigan and several nieces and nephews.
