Donna Matesich Barrett

Donna was born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Leon and Augustine (Fowler) Matesich. She graduated from New Bedford High School and earned both her Bachelor’s Degree and MBA from the University of Hartford.

Prior to retiring in 2012, she was employed for many years with Citizens Bank in Warwick, RI as a Senior Auditor, AVP. She also worked for H&R Block in Brockton, MA for over fifteen years.

Donna’s family meant everything to her. She loved spending time with her 3 children and 11 grandchildren and enjoyed attending all their special events. She enjoyed the peacefulness of the lake by which she lived. She was an avid shopper, enjoyed traveling, spending time with friends, playing words with friends and continued to study and stay current with her interest in finance.

She leaves her beloved children: Erin Cameron of Sandwich, Patrick Barrett and his wife, Lynn of Sandwich, and Kerry Jackson of Bedford, NH; her cherished grandchildren: Conor, Kelly and Colleen Cameron; Aidan, Caroline, Meghan, Kathleen and Brian Barrett; and Liam, Maeve and Brady Jackson; and her niece, Jodi Olson of Crofton, MD. She was the sister of the late Chester Matesich and Guy Paul Matesich.

Her Funeral will be held Friday, December 11, 2015 at 9 am from the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford with a Memorial Mass at 10 am at St. John Neumann Church, 157 Middleboro Rd., E. Freetown followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, New Bedford. Visiting hours Thursday from 5 to 7 pm.
