Donald B. Sylvia recently passed away at home, after a long illness with his family by his side. Donald was predeceased by his wife Barbara and 2 of his 4 sons, Donald(Butch) and Joseph(Joey). He is survived by his sons, David and Bill, as well as 4 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Dad joined the Navy in 1951 and then was in the Navy Reserves for 30 years, getting called back to active duty twice- he was sent to the Mediterranean for duty during the Berlin Wall Crisis and again for the Cuban Missile Blockade.
Dad enjoyed all types of auto racing and was a passionate New England Football fan.
The family will get together at a later date for a small ceremony to honor Donald.
