Dinora M. (Pacheco) Leclair, age 63, of New Bedford, passed away at home on Friday, August 6, 2021 with her family by her bedside. She was the beloved wife of Robert Leclair with whom she shared 10 loving years of marriage.
Born in Lajes, Terceira, Azores, she was the daughter of the late Horacio R. and Celestina G.M. (Santos) Pacheco.
Dinora was a retired Sales Representative for the NBST and Marketing Representative for an Insurance Company before that. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She and Robert loved the beach and spent their summers in Sandy Neck on the Cape. Watching the sunrise in the morning, she would go out and take pictures, and run back into bed with popsicle toes. They would laugh about it after. They laughed everyday and truly adored one another. Dinora loved to laugh. She had the most beautiful smile. They loved sitting around the campfire after a day of walking in the shallow, sandy waters, enjoying each other at every moment. Even cooking together was another pleasure they shared. “I Love You” was a term used regularly. If Bob left the house without telling her he loved her, he would go back, walk into the house and tell her “I Love You”. Having family and friends over for cook-outs and holiday meals was special so they could laugh and enjoy their time together. She had a love for all her rescue animals. Her cat Peanut, her dogs Vegas and Sheena, and especially her Lab Brenda. Dinora was loved by many and will be deeply missed.
In addition to her husband, the love of her life, Robert, she is survived by her two sisters, Maria Santos and her husband Silvino of Dartmouth, and Margarida Pour and her husband Majid of Swansea; two nephews, Cameron Hashemi-Pour of Swansea and Arian Hashemi-Pour of CA.
Her Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 10 AM in St. Lawrence Martyr Church, 565 County St., New Bedford. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 4PM - 7PM at ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, MA 02745.
