Born in New Bedford, a daughter of the late Conrad Lyonnais and Beatrice (Blanchard) Lyonnais-Maciejewski, she was a lifelong area resident and a communicant of the former St. Joseph’s Church, New Bedford.
Ms. Pinto worked as an accountant for Rochester Memorial School and payroll specialist at Heat Transfer Products in E. Freetown. Diane’s grandchildren were her pride and joy. She was a voracious reader and she was an avid animal lover. Diane and her family enjoyed camping at Perry’s Campground and visiting and traveling with her entire family. She was the very best at keeping in touch with friends and her extended family.
She is survived by three children, Christine Jakusovas and her husband Michael of Palmetto, FL, Craig Pinto and his wife Sabine of Sarasota, FL, and Cheryl Schoen and her husband Ryan of Cary, NC; five grandchildren, Jordan Ernst, Kylie Ernst, Niklas Pinto, Kiersten Pinto, and Callan Schoen; one great granddaughter on the way; two brothers, Richard C. Lyonnais and his wife Carol of Falmouth and Dennis P. Lyonnais of The Villages, FL; a stepsister, Annette Maciejewski of New Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
Her Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St. Gabriel the Archangel Parish, 343 Tarkiln Hill Rd., New Bedford followed by burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery.
