Cheryl J. Bourque, “Squirrel,” age 33, of Freetown, passed away Tuesday, March 4, 2014 in St. Luke’s Hospital unexpectedly. Born in New Bedford, she was a daughter of Raymond Bourque of Freetown and Marilyn (Clark) Jacob and step daughter of James Jacob of Acushnet.
A graduate of Apponequet High School, she worked as a C.N.A. at Southpointe Rehabilitation Center in Fall River. Cheryl loved spending time with her daughter.
In addition to her parents she is survived by one daughter; Kayla Bertoncini of Freetown, two brothers; Brian and Erik Bourque both of Freetown, two step-sisters; Erika Jacob of New Jersey, Elizabeth Bergeron of Freetown, one step-brother; Nathan Jacob of Freetown, her companion Brian Bertoncini of Fall River, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was the granddaughter of the late Ambrose Jr. and Barbara Clark, and Hector and Anna Bourque.
Her Funeral will be held on Monday, March 10, 2014 at 10:00AM in the ROCK FUNERAL HOME, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00PM. Burial in Chace Cemetery, Freetown. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kayla Bertoncini, c/o Bank of America, Fairhaven Banking Center, 16 Berdon Way, Fairhaven, MA 02719.
