Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Ross and Agnes (Burke) Brandle, she was a lifelong resident of New Bedford. She attended Holy Name School.
Mrs. Donaghy had worked as a waitress at Waldorf Cafeteria where she met Jerry. He worked as a cook.
She volunteered at the Greater New Bedford Little League at Dias Field in the canteen for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Spooner and her husband Jeffrey of New Bedford; her grandchildren, Kelly Ellingsen, Michael Spooner and wife Sonya, David Spooner and wife Joyce; 8 great grandchildren, Allison Beaulieu, Christian, Riley, Mitchell, Nathaniel and Jenna Spooner, Jayden and Emma Spooner; sister-in-law, Marge Brandle; a nephew, Gary Brandle; a niece, Cheryl McCormack; nephews, John, Gerard and Albert Grenier; her extended Spooner family whom she loved; and her cherished friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Elaine Brandle and brother, William Brandle.
