Anthony Pedro Teixeira, age 93, passed away at his residence on Sunday, June 17, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of the late Aldea Marie (Breault) Teixeira. Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Pedro and Maria Carla (Azevedo) Teixeira. He was a graduate of New Bedford High School and Served in the United States Navy as a signalman during World War II.
He is survived by a son; Anthony G. Teixeira and his wife Nadine of East Freetown, two grandchildren; Christopher and Patrick Teixeira both of East Freetown, two great-grandchildren Courtney Parker-Teixeira and Donald Teixeira and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three siblings; Edwina Dias, Valentino Teixeira and Jack Dias.
Private funeral arrangements are in the care of the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford.
