Andrea M. Morris

Andrea Marie Bernadette Morris, Age 81 of Plymouth, originally of New Bedford, MA passed away at home on February 16, 2023. Andrea is survived by her loving daughter Michele Morris of Plymouth and her longtime partner John Crane, also of Plymouth, MA.

Andrea joined her beloved husband, David Anthony Morris originally of Mineola NY in heaven exactly 30 years to the day he left this earth on February 16, 1993. Andrea is the daughter of the late Adelard and Angeline Dube of New Bedford, MA. She is the youngest of 6 siblings, she is survived by one sister, Antoinette Dube Richard of New Bedford; her sister Estelle Dube Comeau and brothers Edmond, Lucien and Maurice Dube have all previously passed. She was a beloved aunt to her siblings many children.

Andrea was known for her generous nature, beautiful smile and unwavering faith in God. She was fiercely independent and had a work ethic like no other. Andrea retired from Titleist Footjoy Worldwide in 2004 after 37 years of loyal employment. As a lifelong avid reader, she was often found with a book in her hands. She was a gifted cook, an extraordinary baker and an avid quilter and enjoyed giving her labors of love as gifts to many. She had a fondness for animals and adored her family pets as well as assisting her daughter in providing foster care for many needy dogs. She spent her final years living “at the resort”, as she called it, right by her daughter on the shore of Great South Pond. There she enjoyed taking walks and observing the serenity of nature. She enjoyed birdwatching and relaxing by many a sunset campfire. Her numerous talents and her selfless and quiet way of making others feel special and appreciated will be sorely missed by all who knew her.

A visitation for Andrea will be held Thursday, February 23, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford, Massachusetts 02745. A mass of christian burial will occur Friday, February 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM at St. Bernard's Church, 32 South Main Street, Assonet, Massachusetts 02702. A burial will occur at Assonet Burial Grounds.
