Amanda S. Stefanik

A lifelong New Bedford resident, she was the wife of the late Joseph Paul Stefanik. She was the daughter of the late Alexander and Salomeia (Gierlasinski) Kacprzyk.

Mrs. Stefanik was a graduate of New Bedford High School and worked as a Claims Clerk for the Division of employment security. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Sears. She loved dancing traveling and spending time with family. She was the past President of the Polish American World War Vets Auxiliary and was active in various senior centers.

Survivors include a daughter Sally-Ann (Stefanik) Imes and her husband Timothy Neil Imes of Mashpee, a son Steven A Stefanik of New Bedford, two brothers, Edwin and Henry Alexander, a sister, Patricia Medeiros. She has seven grandchildren; Justin Imes of Lakeville, Jason Imes of So. Dennis, Steven, Ashley, Kaz, Miranda and Amy Stefanik, one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. She was the grandmother of the late Brittney-Ann Imes.

Her visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 from 4-6pm at the Rock Funeral Home 1285 Ashley Blvd. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday at the funeral home at 11am. Burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery. For directions and tributes visit: www.rock-funeralhome.com.
