Born in New Bedford, daughter of the late Frank and Virginia Sylvia, she had resided in New Bedford before moving to Dartmouth in 1973.
She had worked in the local textile industry for many years until her retirement.
Aldina loved crocheting and feeding the stray cats in her neighborhood. In earlier years, she and her husband were active in the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed spending time with her family and caring for her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Catherine Borges and husband Michael of Westport; her son, William Niedzwiedz and wife Franziska of Dartmouth; her grandchildren, Melissa, Valerie, Christine and Steven; her great-grandchildren, Alexis, Leo and Eli; and nieces and nephews. She was grandmother of the late David Niedzwiedz and predeceased by her sisters. She was the companion of the late Adolph Steliga.
Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, December 15, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Rock Funeral Home, 1285 Ashley Blvd., New Bedford. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at 10 am in the funeral home followed by burial in the Polish National Cemetery.
